Your Medical Data may also similarly be used to create de-identified information such as aggregate statistics relating to the use of our Services;

Retention of your Personal Information

Electronic patient records (EPRs) must not be destroyed, or deleted, for the foreseeable future.

Maternity Records: 25 years after the birth of the last child.

Records relating to persons receiving treatment for a mental disorder within the meaning of mental health legislation: 20 years after the date of the last contact; or 10 years after the patient’s death if sooner.

We do not store your personal health data on your mobile device. We store all your personal health data- including your primary care information, medication information and diagnostic information – on secure servers.

When applicable, where you have chosen a password that enables you to access certain parts of our services, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share the password with anyone. We do not store any credit or debit card information. Payments are processed via a third party payment provider that is fully compliant with Level 1 Payment Card Industry (PCI) data security standards. Any payment transactions are encrypted using SSL technology. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access. We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy. Your data may be processed or stored via destinations outside the Canada, but always in accordance with data protection law and subject to strict safeguards. For example, we work with third parties to use their software platforms who have servers outside Canada to send communication emails to our users. 

Right to Access and Correct

If you make excessive, repetitive or manifestly unfounded requests, we may charge you an administration fee in order to process such requests or refuse to act on such requests. Where we are required to provide a copy of the personal data undergoing processing this will be free of charge; however, any further copies requested may be subject to reasonable fees based on administrative costs. Asking us to stop processing your personal data or deleting your personal data will likely mean that you are no longer able to use the Services, or at least those aspects of the Services. Your data is required to allow our healthcare providers to abide to their regulations. Deleted data does not allow us to provide the Services.

USE OF WEB BEACONS OR GIF FILES

Company Web pages may contain electronic images known as Web beacons – sometimes also called single-pixel gifs – that allow Company to count users who have visited those pages and to deliver co-branded services. Company may include Web beacons in promotional e-mail messages or newsletters in order to determine whether messages have been opened and acted upon. Some of these Web beacons may be placed by third party service providers to help determine the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns or email communications. These Web beacons may be used by these service providers to place a persistent cookie on your computer.
